How venues are ranked

Every club here is scored the same way we score pickleball venues: on what's actually there.

We look at how many courts a club has, whether they're indoor or outdoor, and how you get on them. Walk-in, drop-in fee, or membership. Then at what the club offers once you arrive: glass courts, a pro shop, locker rooms, somewhere to eat, coaching, lights for evening play, online booking.

Scores run to 5.0, starting from a 3.0 baseline. Clubs earn their way up from there. Facilities with thin or unverified information score lower, because we won't rank a club on details we can't confirm.

Padel in the U.S. is young enough that this list captures two things at once: the established multi-court clubs that have been building the sport here for years, and the wave of new facilities opening across major metros almost monthly.

Who is eligible

Only venues that meet our indexation threshold are eligible: a real court count, an indoor/outdoor designation, and at least one of hours, pricing, or surface. Thin records cannot win. Pre-launch and inactive venues are excluded.

We never guess

If a field is unknown, the venue simply isn't eligible for that category. A category appears on a state page only when the data supports a genuine winner. We never pad a list to hit a number.

Refresh cadence

The awards are refreshed annually and dated. Each page carries a last-updated stamp.
